School Results 2014/15
Below is an overview of our school data from the last academic year.
In the Foundation Stage 75% of children achieved a Good Level of Development by the end of the Early Years Curriculum, above the national average which was 66%. We were very pleased with the results and continue to strive for excellence in all areas of the Early Years Curriculum.
End of Key Stage 1
In Key Stage 1 results for reading, writing and maths exceeded all the national figures. We were very pleased with the results and continue to strive for excellence in all areas.
Year 1 Phonics Check
In Year 1 65% of children passed the phonics check, this was below the national average which was 77%. As a school we know that this cohort of pupils need additional support as they previously did not hit the national averages for their Good Level of Development either. Gaps are narrowing and progress is clear but we need to continue to strive to close the gaps for some of the children in this cohort. An additional teacher has been employed to support some children that need the additional support. We are working with agencies and parents to support the children to improve the attainment for our children.
End of Key Stage 2
Currently we are a 10+ primary and do not have Year 6. We will be retaining Year 6 at the end of this academic year.
